After 27 Years of Service British Airways withdrew its 757 Fleet
from scheduled service on 30 October 2010. Back in 1983, the Boeing
757, was at the cutting edge of aviation technology. British Airways
was the global launch customer when the first Boeing 757 took to
the skies in 1983 and the airline grew its fleet to be 54 strong
in the late 1990s. Almost everyone in the operational side of British
Airways has either piloted, repaired, dispatched or looked after
customers flying on this aircraft over the past 27 years.
